Denizli Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (DESOB) Vice President Osman Üçgül held important meetings in Kosovo on 8 July 2024 with the aim of developing commercial relations between Kosovo and Türkiye and promoting mutual investments.

Within the scope of the visit, the meetings held with the relevant authorities in Kosovo addressed facilitating trade between the two countries, accelerating investment processes and new cooperation opportunities. Drawing attention to the importance of digitalization, Vice President Üçgül said: "Our meetings continue so that we can learn about the facilities and opportunities in commercial relations. With the internet age, our tradesmen, too, must go beyond their borders".

One of the important stops of the programme was the official visit paid at the office of Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Prizren Mr. Celal Doğan. At the meeting, a comprehensive file containing the challenges experienced in the investment processes between the two countries and proposals for their solution was submitted to the Consul General.

Within the framework of the visit, talks were held towards signing a cooperation agreement between DESOB and the Kosovo–Türkiye Chamber of Investors (KTYO). In the assessments made with KTYO President Kevork Fındıklıyan, the goals of increasing commercial contacts between the members of the two institutions and of bringing joint projects to life came to the forefront.

In addition, Vice President Üçgül had the opportunity to inspect Art Aluminyum Company, one of the successful Turkish investments in Kosovo, on site. At the meeting with company representatives, detailed information was obtained about the production processes and export targets.

As KTYO, we support Turkish tradesmen and entrepreneurs taking a more active role in the Kosovo market, and we are pleased to be following this cooperation process planned with DESOB.
